STFC Emergencies
There are specific procedures for emergency situations at the various sites of the STFC -
All staff and those working at STFC sites should familiarise themselves with the sites' emergency procedures..
STFC First Aiders
If you have a first-aid emergency you should call the following numbers at each site:

*IMPORTANT* STFC Occupational Health (OH) do not offer First Aid treatment. Do not attempt to move or direct the injured or ill person to the OH Centre. Instead, call the above numbers.
If you dial 999 from any STFC landline, you will be directed to Security. Security will call 999 on your behalf. However, if you are an authorised STFC First Aider treating the casualty, you may wish to speak with the ambulance services directly, if so please inform Security immediately and liaise with them so they can successfully guide the ambulance to you.
First aid can save lives, for example in the event of heart attack, and can prevent minor injuries becoming major ones.
STFC will undertake to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation with regard to provision of first aid to all employees and to ensure best practice by extending the arrangements as far as is reasonably practicable to others who may also be affected by our activities while on STFC sites.
