This code is relevant to anyone using gases or generating dusts which are combustible or could result in an explosion when exposed to sources of ignition. Typical examples include - methane, solvent vapours, natural gas, wood dusts, welding gases etc. The code outlines for
simple situations
such as handling small quantities of flammable substances, less than 1 litre, and the control of flammable gas cylinders the need to under take a risk assessment and the control measures required. Example risk assessments are included. More
complex situations
will require the advice of specialist expertise the names of whom can be provided by SHE Group.
