STFC has procedures at each of its site for dealing with forseeable emergency conditions. These are available locally to those involved in implementing these procedures.
The two large laboratories maintain incident response teams (see -
DL (Word document - link opens in a new window) | RAL) which are available to help with initial fire alam investigation and to ensure that the Fire and Rescue Service is not called out unnecessarily.
